Mahinda Bolero Neo Engine and other Specifications
This SUV is powered by a 1.5L I4 mHawk 100 diesel engine that churns out a maximum power of 100 BHP at 3750 rpm and a peak torque of 260 NM at 1750 rpm which results in better acceleration and helps the vehicle deliver better performance. The engine gets mated with a five-speed manual transmission system that transfers the driving power to the wheels. Further, the ARAI claimed Mahindra Bolero Neo mileage is 17.2 km/l; though the city mileage ranges between 12 and 13 km/l which is the average mileage of most economy cars.
Moving further onto Neo specifications, it gets multilink independent suspension with an FSD stabilizer bar which gives good support in road holding and ride quality. Furthermore, it boasts 15-inch alloy wheels with 215mm wide tyres, and front disc and rear drum brakes to take care of braking duties.
The turning radius of this SUV has been claimed to be 5.35 metres which makes it suitable to pass through slightly narrow roads and streets. To have a clearer picture of this point, have a look at the dimensions of the car; the length of this Mahindra car is 3995mm, its width is 1795mm and its height is 1817mm. It has a wheelbase of 2680mm which is long enough to accommodate the passengers between the axles which reduces the effect of passenger load on axle load distribution and thus provides better ride quality. It has a gross weight of 2215 kg which is on the higher side of the average SUV weight range; higher weight consumes more energy to move but also causes better stability of the car. Further, the ground clearance of this car is 180mm which makes it ideal for hilly as well as bumpy roads, in villages and small towns.

Being a power steering, it also helps the driver to steer the vehicle with less effort and better comfort. Furthermore, the Mahindra Bolero interior encompasses rear parking sensors that detect the obstacles in the back while parking and help to avoid running on the objects lying in the way of the vehicle. It has a delay power window feature that gives the option to operate the window for a few minutes even after switching the ignition off so that you don’t have to keep the engine on (while passengers are getting off the car) to close the windows. Apart from these, it includes multi-terrain technology to give the option to supply more traction to the wheels in rough and difficult terrains and the driver information system to keep the driver updated about the vehicle information, e.g., doors not closed properly, flat tyre, speed above the limit, etc. Moreover, it gets a power AC and a charging point of 12V for phone or laptop charging.
Mahinda Bolero Neo Safety Features
On the safety front, the Bolero neo gets a central locking system to provide full control of locking all the doors to the driver so that none of the doors are left open when the car is moving; it helps to avoid an accident due to an unlocked door.
