Audi Q8 Celebration

With the launch of the Q8 Celebration edition, Audi's coupe-SUV is now more affordable by over Rs 34 lakh!

With festivities around the corner, Audi India has launched the Q8 Celebration in the country. Priced at Rs 98.98 lakh (ex-showroom), the Celebration variant undercuts the Technology variant of the car by around Rs 34 lakh! Of course, it misses out on a couple of features but gets the same engine and transmission as the Technology variant. The Audi Q8 range in India is now three-variant strong line-up –  the Q8 Celebration, the Q8 Technology, and the range-topping high-performance RS Q8 (priced at Rs 2.07 crore, ex-showroom).

Audi Q8 Celebration Edition

In terms of features and equipment, the Q8 Celebration is very well equipped, as it features Audi’s Matrix LED headlamps, button-less MMI Navigation system with touch, Audi Virtual Cockpit, Audi Phone Box light, with wireless charging, Audi music interface, a panoramic sunroof, park assist and more. Now, in comparison to the Technology trim, the Celebration misses out on the Bang & Olufsen music system, 20-inch alloy wheels – it gets 19-inch alloys instead – and Audi Phone Box. Also, its interior buttons and controls don’t come with an aluminium finish, as they’re now offered in matte black. The Q8 Celebration also doesn’t get the Technology’s adaptive air suspension, and it rides on steel springs with electronically adjustable dampers.

What hasn’t changed here is the 3.0-litre TFSI petrol motor, as it’s offered with identical power output and torque. The engine develops 335bhp and 500Nm of torque and comes paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The drive is sent to all four wheels via Audi’s quattro system. The SUV can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 5.9 seconds.

The Audi Q8 competes against the Porsche Cayenne Coupe, BMW X6, and Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe.
