The first batch of the BMW iX all-electric SUV sold out within a day! BMW India has confirmed that the bookings for the second batch will commence early next year.

Just yesterday BMW India kicked off its EV spree with the launch of the iX all-electric SUV. The BMW iX has been priced at Rs 1.16 crore (ex-showroom) and the SUV will be sold via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route.

Now, the brand has confirmed that all the allocated units of the BMW iX have been sold out and the bookings for the next batch will begin in Q1 of 2022, most likely by January.

Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India, said, ‘We are very excited to receive such a phenomenal response to the first-ever BMW iX. Born electric, our new technology flagship stands for a new way of life defined by mobility that is luxurious and responsible at the same time. We were confident that the first-ever BMW iX will be a sought-after product, but it has truly surpassed all expectations. With all units sold on the first day, we are now preparing to fulfil the demands of other customers who are waiting to own this exclusive electric BMW SAV.’

The deliveries of the sold-out units will commence by April 2022. Around the same time, we’re expecting BMW India to introduce the i4 Gran Coupe which is an all-electric sedan.

Mini India, under the same BMW Group, will also bring in its all-electric Mini Cooper SE mostly by January 2022. Mini India has started accepting the pre-bookings for the same.
