The eagerly anticipated BMW iX2 compact electric crossover, which sits above the iX1 in the luxury carmaker's model range, has been globally unveiled. The brand-new iX2 is modelled on the second-gen BMW X2, which also made its debut with its electric counterpart. Later this month, the X2 will also be showcased at the upcoming 2023 Tokyo Mobility Show. Even though the recently revealed electric model is based on the all-new X2, it has received several EV-oriented styling modifications to make it stand out. The BMW iX2 will be available for purchase by March next year and will initially be offered in a single variant. The automaker has not yet announced whether the iX2 will arrive on Indian shores. However, given how aggressively the brand has been following its EV roadmap for our domestic market, BMW fans in India can expect the iX2 to make its way here as well. As of now, the EV lineup of BMW India comprises the iX, iX1, i7, and i4 models.

A portion of the rear bumper of the EV has been redesigned specifically to give it a distinct appearance. Aside from that, everything else is more or less similar to that of the standard X2.
