A test mule of the Hyundai Creta EV has been spied on the Indian road. In the latest spy shots that surfaced online, we can clearly see the four-wheeler without donning any camouflage. Spotted at an EV charging station, the Creta electric will be based on Hyundai's E-GMP platform that also underpins the Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 6, and the Kia EV6. The electric version of the mid-size Creta SUV will slot below the Kona EV and the Ioniq 5. In terms of pricing, the electric vehicle is anticipated to carry a sticker price of Rs 15 lakh to Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom). Also, speculations are rife that Hyundai will bring the EV to India by 2025. For those who don't know, the carmaker was caught testing the Creta EV for the first time in the country (Chennai) in February 2023. But, this time the SUV was spotted in Karnal, Haryana, which gives away some fresh details:

Hyundai Creta EV: What to expect?

According to the latest spy images, the Creta EV from the house of Hyundai appeared to have been designed as an ICE-powered vehicle as the prototype featured similar bumpers that the ICE version gets, but will likely sport different front and rear bumpers in its production-ready avatar. According to some reports, the production-ready Creta EV could be styled similar to the Creta facelift model that was spied recently.

The Creta EV could share its drivetrain with the Kona EV that claims to have a maximum range of 490 kilometres on a single charge. Based on this probability, the Creta electric vehicle will be built around a 327V architecture setup and will be powered by a 39.2kWh battery pack that propels an electric motor to generate 134bhp of maximum power and 395Nm of peak torque.
