Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Facelift Unveiled in India; Bookings Open at Rs 11,000

Hyundai Motor India has finally pulled covers from the much-anticipated Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Facelift. The bookings of the model have been commenced at a token amount of Rs 11,000.

Hyundai Motor India has finally unveiled the Grand i10 Nios Facelift in India prior to the Auto Expo 2023. Pre-orders for the model are now accepted at a nominal amount of Rs 11,000. The 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Facelift has new features and cosmetic improvements. The front fascia of the facelifted version has been modified and now boasts a wider grille with LED DRLs on either side. New 15-inch alloy wheels and LED taillamps with a connecting bar are added to this hatchback. Six single-tone exterior colours will be offered for the 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Facelift including Polar White, Titan Grey, Typhoon Silver, Spark Green (New), Teal Blue, and Fiery Red. Additionally, a black finished roof will be an option for the Sparks Green and Polar White paint schemes. On the features front, customers will find six airbags, cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring systems, and more in the updated model.

The facelift model hasn't changed much from the inside apart from the addition of an analogue instrument cluster with a MID. Now, customers will have the option of a two-tone grey or an all-black cabin finish, with red or green accents on the latter. On the mechanical front, the updated model will be available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that offers 82bhp and 113Nm. A 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT are included with the engine. The model will also have a 1.2-litre bi-fuel petrol engine with CNG that produces 68bhp and 95Nm. It will come paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Once launched, the facelifted version of the Grand i10 Nios will compete with the Tata Tiago, the Maruti Suzuki Swift, and others in India. It is speculated that Hyundai will unveil the prices of the model at the upcoming Auto Expo 2023. The 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is anticipated cost a little more than the current version considering the cosmetic improvements and other updates. The cost of the current hatchback model ranges from Rs. 5.43 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs. 8.51 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV, which has been developed on the E-GMP, is currently available for booking at Rs 1 Lakh in India. Bookings of the model commenced last year in December but the company hasn't revealed prices or its complete specification. The upcoming Auto show could be the platform for Hyundai to reveal the prices of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV alongside the facelifted version of the Grand i10 Nios.
