Jaguar India has opened the bookings for a more exclusive variant of the F-Type. The new variant brings along some unique cosmetic touches taking the exclusivity of the F-Type to a new high.

In the month of April, Jaguar launched the R-Dynamic Black variant of the F-Type in the international market. This time around, Jaguar India has officially commenced the bookings for the F-Type R-Dynamic Black confirming that the new variant of the sports coupe will be launched in India.

In the UK market, the R-Dynamic Black was priced from £64,495 (approximately Rs 66,78,257). However, the F-Type R-Dynamic Black will be pricier in the Indian market as Jaguar will retail it via the CBU route. Jaguar is introducing the new variant with the 5.0-litre V8 Supercharged engine option, which in turn will demand a higher price tag compared to the standard 2.0-litre in-line four-cylinder variant.

The new Black variant will be positioned above the current 5.0-litre V8 RWD R-Dynamic variant and the prices are expected to start from Rs 1.45 Cr (ex-showroom).

The R-Dynamic Black variant includes blacked-out trims on the exterior. A set of 20-inch gloss black alloys, called the Style 5039, are available exclusively with the R-Dynamic Black variant.

The cabin features 12-way electrically-adjustable seats in ebony and contrast light oyster stitching. Buyers can also get the seats in Mars suede finish with flaming red stitching should they so prefer. The sports coupe can be had in one of the three colours – Santorini Black, Eiger Grey, and Firenze Red in metallic finish.

The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with power rating marked at 444bhp and 580Nm. This new variant will be available with the rear-wheel-drive layout only. We suspect the R-Dynamic Black variant will be introduced with the smaller 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine option at a later date. This will allow Jaguar to price the exclusive variant more aggressively.
