Lamborghini has recalled 2,133 units of its popular Urus SUV in the United States. According to a document, the latest recall from the Italian manufacturer is attributed to a defective hood that could fly open when driven quickly. About 2% of the Urus SUV fleet is estimated to have this problem, which causes small gaps to appear between the front bumper and the hood when the model surpasses the speed of 151km/h.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website has a recall document from Lamborghini that states that the affected Urus SUVs may have gaps between the hood and front bumper that could widen at high speeds. Over time, this stress could lead to a latch system failure that would separate the hood latch striker from the hood. However, Lamborghini has claimed that it is unaware of any collisions or injuries brought on by the problem.
