Maruti Suzuki has made six airbags available across all the variants of the Baleno hatchback and the Ertiga MPV in India. This is a remarkable safety improvement, as the Baleno was previously offered with six airbags solely in its top two variants, while the Ertiga had just four airbags in its top-spec models. Besides the safety upgrade, Maruti Suzuki has adjusted the prices of both models. The Baleno, which was earlier priced from Rs 6.70 lakh to Rs 9.92 lakh, has seen a price hike of 0.5%, approximately ranging between Rs 3,500–Rs 5,000, depending on the variant. The Baleno hatch now starts at Rs 6.74 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.96 lakh. Meanwhile, the Ertiga is subjected to a more substantial 1.4% price increase. It now starts at Rs 9.12 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. The features and powertrain of both Maruti Suzuki cars remain the same.
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is powered by a 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 89bhp and a peak torque of 113Nm, and is paired with either a five-speed manual or an automatic transmission. It is also available with a CNG option (76.4bhp and 98.5Nm with manual gearbox).

The MPV has a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that delivers 102bhp of power and 139Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic to handle transmission chores. While running on CNG, the same unit produces 87bhp and 121.5Nm, paired with only a 5-speed MT.
