Maruti Suzuki showcased the Fronx and the Jimny SUVs at Auto Expo held in January 2023. Last month, it finally launched the Fronx at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 7.47 lakh. Now, the wait is for the new Jimny lifestyle SUV to make its entry into our market. Bookings for these SUVs commenced on January 12 at a token amount of Rs 11,000. Later, the carmaker increased the booking amount for the new Jimny from Rs 11,000 to Rs 25,000, considering the huge demand. Now, according to industry reports, these sport utility vehicles have crossed the mark of 50,000 combined bookings within four months in India. Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Jimny SUVs: Current Bookings
As mentioned, Maruti Suzuki opened the bookings for the anticipated SUVs - the new Jimny & the Fronx, on January 12, 2023. As of May 1, These sport utility vehicles reportedly have around 53,000 pre-orders, according to several industry reports. For those unaware, the Jimny-5 door and the Fronx gathered 23,500 and 13,500 bookings, respectively, by the end of March. Now, these SUVs have further enhanced their booking numbers in our market, indicating their budding demand among customers. According to industry reports, the Fronx SUV has nearly doubled its bookings over the past month. Its booking figures currently stand at 26,500.

7.47 lakh and Rs 13.14 lakh (Both prices, ex-showroom). Also, nationwide deliveries of the Fronx SUV have started. Further,
the Maruti Suzuki has also offered a brand-new Bluish Black colour option for the Fronx, making the total number of paint options up to ten. Market speculations are rife that the commencement of deliveries could be one of the reasons behind the jump in its booking numbers.

Speaking of the new Jimny, the carmaker will presumably reveal its prices in India later this month. The SUV has been in the news for a long time due to its increasing orders ever since its reservations commenced in our market. Recently, it was in the headlines due to its leaked prices online. A Leaked dealer invoice, has claimed the base price of a Maruti Suzuki Jimny in India at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The introductory cost for the Zeta model MT will probably stand at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the top-spec Alpha model could command Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
