These petrolheads wait for new car launches, and manufacturers work on building more feature-rich and performance-focused cars, to match their enthusiasm. Maruti Suzuki is one of the leading carmakers in our market. In India, several cars from the automaker's stable lead the monthly sales chart on the repeat, such as - the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the Brezza, and more. New Maruti Suzuki Premium MPV

The brand-new MPV based on the Toyota Innova Hycross will launch in our market in July 2023. In the automaker's MPV lineup, the upcoming car will sit above the Ertiga. Similar to its Japanese twin, the new MPV will get a similar 2.0-litre engine both with and without a hybrid option. In a strong hybrid mode, the engine develops 183bhp and 206Nm, whereas while running on petrol, it produces 172bhp and 205Nm. Further, the upcoming high-end MPV by Maruti Suzuki will use the Toyota TNGA-C architecture.

Design-wise, there will be a few changes both outside and inside. Customers can expect changes in the grille, headlamps, and front bumper design. Further, the interior of the MPV will reportedly differ from its Japanese sibling in colour scheme and upholstery. In terms of features, the new MPV will likely sport powered Ottoman seats for the second row, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a powered tailgate, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, six airbags, and TPMS and others.

The carmaker will reportedly launch the Jimny SUV late this month. For propulsion, the lifestyle SUV will use a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine, capable of producing 104bhp of maximum power and 134Nm of peak torque. Dimensionally, the new SUV from Maruti Suzuki measures 3,985mm in length, 1,645mm in width, and 1,720mm in height. It features a 208-litre boot space and a wheelbase of 2,590mm. According to the carmaker, the wheelbase of the upcoming lifestyle SUV is 300mm longer than that of the 3-door trim. The bookings of the SUV are presently underway at Rs 25,000 in our market. Price-wise, the Jimny-5 Door could range between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 12 lakh. Prices are ex-showroom. 

Next-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift

Maruti Suzuki will likely introduce the much-anticipated new-gen Swift by mid-2023 in the international market. In India, the updated Swift will reportedly launch in 2024. There is no official word on the specs or launch of the model yet, however, industry reports reveal that the new Swift will sport a range of improvements in design. Mechanically, it will presumably continue to draw power from a 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine, paired with manual and AMT transmissions. Market reports claim that a new 1.2-litre petrol with a strong hybrid powertrain could also be available with the new-gen Swift, claiming fuel efficiency of over 40km/l.

New Maruti Suzuki Dzire

The compact sedan - the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, is expected to arrive in our market by 2024. In terms of modifications over the previous version, the new model will have an all-new cabin and a fuel-efficient drivetrain. According to market reports, the 2024 Maruti Dzire will be driven by a powerful hybrid technology-enhanced 1.2-litre petrol engine. In terms of price, the sedan's powerful hybrid version will cost between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.50 lakh more than its standard petrol model. For those unaware, prices for the current generation model lineup range between Rs 6.24 lakh and Rs 9.18 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
