New car launches in January 2016

Here are four all-new models that will be launched in the first month of 2016. Needless to say, they will cause quite a stir in their respective segments and in the automotive market as well

We have already brought you a compilation of all the ‘new’ cars that will be launched in the 2016 calendar year. But if you can’t wait to make that new car purchase for too long, here are the all-new models that will be launched during January 2016. And we have to say that there really is something for everybody here starting from the affordable B-Segment Tata Zica hatchback to the new Mahindra KUV100 compact SUV, the larger than life new Ford Endeavour SUV and the stylishly luxurious Mercedes-Benz GLE AMG Coupe.

Here is a look at what each of them will offer :

Tata Zica – The Zica is a thoroughly modern offering from Tata Motors that is slated to replace the now aging Indica, which was once the company’s bestselling model. We have driven the car and have come back impressed by the overall product. The Zica has very modern interiors, the ergonomics are all right and the materials used feel premium not just for Tata but for B-Segment hatchbacks as a whole.

Apart from the fresh styling of the Zica, Tata has also developed all-new petrol and diesel engines for the car to ensure that the Zica does not fall short on any parameter.

Mahindra KUV100 – The KUV100 is Mahindra’s take on the compact SUV segment. Featuring bold styling, all-new petrol and diesel engines and a new monocoque chassis the KUV100 is aimed squarely at the highly successful Ford EcoSport. All KUV variants will be offered with ABS and EBD as standard while front airbags will be optional.
Keeping in mind expectations of customers in the segment, Mahindra will be equipping the KUV100 generously to place it at par with the EcoSport.

Ford Endeavour – The new Ford Endeavour truly has to be seen in the metal to understand the context of its proportions. The vehicle is simply huge and with its bold design elements, the SUV looks bulky and demands attention in every visual way. And that’s not all as Ford has designed a very modern cabin for the vehicle and has loaded it with generous amounts of equipment.

Mercedes-Benz GLE AMG Coupe – Merc’s X6 rivaling GLE Coupe will be making a full bore entry into the India market with the launch of the performance oriented GLE450 AMG. The GLE450 AMG packs in a 3.0 litre, twin turbocharged V6 petrol engine developing 367 bhp which allows this luxo barge to catapult from standstill to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds.
With its couple-like roofline and sporty styling, the GLE450 AMG sure has the looks to grab all the attention. And with that engine, it has the potential to justify its presence as well.
