Nissan recently launched the fourth-generation X-Trail SUV in India, which made its debut in mid-July. The new X-Trail is a premium 7-seater SUV, and since it is a full import, the price (Rs 49.92 lakh, ex-showroom) might seem high to many potential buyers. While the X-Trail gets a single variant with a mild-hybrid engine, the Toyota Fortuner – the close competitor to the X-Trail – is available in seven different configurations (4x2, 4x2 AT, 4x2 Diesel, 4x2 Diesel AT, 4x4 Diesel, 4x4 Diesel AT, and GR S 4x4 Diesel AT). The latter tops out at Rs 51.44 lakh (ex-showroom) in terms of pricing, making it costlier than the newly launched Nissan X-Trail. However, the starting price of Rs 33.43 lakh (ex-showroom) makes the Fortuner more approachable. Now, we compare the two in terms of size, features, and technical specifications.
