Nissan has brought in a practical update for the Nissan Gravite with the launch of a dealer-fitted CNG kit, priced at Rs 82,999. Available from 4 May 2026, the kit is offered through authorised dealerships, which already makes it a more sorted option than typical aftermarket conversions. Nissan has partnered with Motozen for this setup, so the focus here is on consistency, safety, and ease of ownership.

The highlight of this CNG kit is its twin-cylinder layout. Instead of a single large tank, Nissan has used two cylinders stacked in the boot. This helps retain all three rows of seating, which is crucial for a vehicle like the Gravite. At the same time, it does mean the boot space is nearly taken up by the cylinders, so luggage capacity takes a hit.
The kit meets current emission and safety standards. It comes with ICAT approval and complies with BS6 Phase II emission norms. Nissan has also added dynamic advancer technology to manage fuel delivery when running on CNG. Mechanically, the Gravite remains unchanged. It continues with its 1.0-litre petrol engine, offered with a five-speed manual or an AMT, both compatible with this setup.

In terms of day-to-day usability, the integration is straightforward. The CNG filling point sits under the existing fuel lid, so there is no visible change on the outside. The cylinders are built with 8.1 mm thick walls, aimed at durability. The ability to switch between petrol and CNG modes also adds flexibility, especially when CNG stations are not always within reach.
The kit is backed by a three-year or one lakh kilometre warranty and is currently available in 60 cities across 16 states. Installation is handled only through Nissan’s authorised network, which helps maintain fitment quality and reduces the risk of inconsistencies.
This update does not add a new variant to the line-up, but it does make the Gravite more usable for buyers focused on running costs. For city users with access to CNG infrastructure, this setup adds a more economical option without changing the core appeal of the MPV.
