Skoda Slavia, Kushaq Prices Hiked by up to Rs 1 Lakh in India, Check Variant-Wise Prices Here

Skoda Auto has hiked the prices of two of its popular models – the Slavia sedan and the Kushaq SUV – by up to Rs 1 lakh in India. Citing the rising prices of commodities, the Indian arm of the Czech manufacturer announced in early December 2023 that the price of all Skoda models – including the Slavia, the Kushaq, and the Kodiaq – will increase by 2 per cent, with effect from January 1, 2024. As a result, the price of the Skoda Slavia starts at Rs 11.53 lakh for the entry-level Active 1.0 TSI MT variant and goes up to Rs 19.12 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec Style Matte 1.5 TSI AT. Depending on the variant, the quantum of the price hike ranges from Rs 14,000 to Rs 64,000. Here's a detailed look at the variant-wise pricing of the sedan:

Meanwhile, the price hike of the Skoda Kushaq ranges from Rs 16,000 to Rs 1 lakh, depending on the variant. Currently, the SUV is offered at a starting price of Rs 11.89 lakh (Active 1.0 TSI MT). 

Skoda Slavia, Kushaq: Powertrain

The Skoda Slavia and the Kushaq were both previously available at a starting price of Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Under the hood, both models get two powertrain options – a 1.0-litre TSI and a 1.5-litre TSI petrol engine. The 1.0-litre petrol unit belts out 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque, while the more powerful 1.5-litre engine makes 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a six-speed manual, an automatic torque converter, and a seven-speed DSG.

The Skoda Slavia rivals the likes of the Honda City, the Volkswagen Virtus, and the Hyundai Verna, while the Kushaq is an answer to the likes of the Volkswagen Taigun, the Hyundai Creta, and the Kia Seltos.
