The Red Dark Editions of the Tata Harrier, Nexon, and Safari have been teased on its social network handles, suggesting their imminent launch in India. One of the best-selling car brands, Tata Motors, is well-known for launching special editions of existing cars, which include Dark Editions, Kaziranga Editions, Gold Editions, and Jet Editions. The 'Red Dark' Edition of its SUV line-up will likely feature a sportier look, with a dynamic theme of red and black. The Red Dark Editions of the Harrier, Nexon, and Safari are expected to be a bit more expensive than their Dark Editions. Besides, the updated iterations of the Harrier and the Safari with ADAS will go on sale in March this year.

Up front, the Red Dark Editions get an 'Oberon Black' shade, with red accents on the front grille, brake callipers, and the 'Dark' emblem. They get 18-inch alloy wheels for enhanced street presence. The inside has Carnelian Red leatherette upholstery with a quilted pattern. Moreover, the red theme is also expected on the grab handles and centre console. We also expect a grey shade on the dashboard and a piano black theme on the steering wheel.

Feature-wise, the Red Dark Editions of the three models will have a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a new 7-inch digital TFT instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, an air purifier, a 6-way powered driver seat with memory function, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charger, and more than 200 voice commands in 6 languages, among other things.

Tata Harrier & Safari Red Dark Editions: Feature Additions

In addition to all the features mentioned above, the Tata Harrier and Safari Red Dark Editions may as well bring in ADAS technology, including forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, rear collision warning, and so on.

Mechanically, the Red Dark Editions of the Harrier and Safari will use the same engine – a 2.0-litre diesel engine, which generates 170bhp and 350Nm of torque and will be mated to a 6-speed transmission.

Tata Nexon Red Dark Editions: Feature Additions

While the ADAS technology is highly unlikely, the Tata Nexon Red Dark Edition could be equipped with a 360-degree surround camera. As for the engine, the compact SUV will have a 108bhp 1.2-litre diesel engine and a 118bhp 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
