Tata Motors is rigorously planning to strengthen its footprint in the Indian automotive market through a robust pipeline of products and strategic investments. During its Investor Day 2025 presentation, the company revealed plans to launch 7 all-new nameplates by FY 2030. The future lineup includes the much-anticipated Sierra SUV and the avant-garde Avinya models, along with a balanced mix of internal combustion and fully electric vehicles. In addition, Tata Motors is also set to refresh its current portfolio, with over 23 facelifts and model updates scheduled over the next five years. The new/revised offerings will keep the brand competitive. They will help the company to continue being key players in the passenger car market of India. Here's a glimpse at some of the exciting upcoming Tata cars set to hit Indian roads.
Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the much-awaited Sierra in India by the second half of FY 2026. The SUV will come in both electric and ICE variants, with the EV likely to go on sale first. While official details are yet to be confirmed, reports suggest that the car could get a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine as options, paired with either a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The Sierra EV is expected to offer multiple battery packs and a range of over 500 kilometres.

Tata Motors is also set to introduce two Avinya-based models as part of its upcoming lineup, both originally showcased as concepts. They will be built on JLR’s advanced Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA), and prioritise space, tech, and comfort. The EMA platform will support large battery packs, promising a range of over 500 kilometres.
Among other anticipated models is the Safari EV, which is likely to share its underpinnings with the Harrier EV, including an all-wheel-drive setup. The EV is also expected to have a range of around 500 kilometres. Meanwhile, the Altroz EV, first revealed at the 2020 Auto Expo, is also likely to be part of the upcoming Tata cars in India. It is anticipated to share its platform and battery options with the Punch EV.
