Audi India will increase the prices of all its models by up to 2% from January, owing to rising input and operating costs. The automaker has announced a price increase in order to ensure sustained growth for the brand and its dealer partners in the market. However, it has promised to minimise the impact of the price hike on customers as much as possible. In the last month, the German carmaker launched the Platinum edition, a limited-edition S5 Sportback, in India. Priced at Rs 81.57 lakh (ex-showroom), it comes in two colour options – District Green and Mythos Black. The car is powered by a 3.0-litre TFSI V6 petrol engine, which delivers 349bhp and 500Nm of torque.

Audi India Sales in First Nine Months of 2023: Key Highlights

The Indian division of the German brand announced last month that it sold a total of 5,530 vehicles between January and September 2023. This was a significant increase from the 2,947 units sold during the same period last year, showing an astounding 88% YoY growth. During that period, the firm's SUV division saw a 187% increase in sales, while performance and lifestyle vehicles witnessed a 42% increase in sales. The automaker attributed the growth to the launch of new models, including the Audi Q8 e-tron, Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron, Q3, and Audi Q3 Sportback, and the ongoing demand for existing vehicles like the Audi A4, A6, Q5, Audi Q7, Q8, A8 L, S5 Sportback, RS5 Sportback, and others.
