Bullet, Hunter, Classic & More Help Royal Enfield Clock 26% Growth in Total Sales in June

Royal Enfield's exports saw a 14 per cent decline during June 2023, with only 9,614 samples dispatched offshore. In contrast, the brand shipped 11,142 units overseas in the same period of the last fiscal year.

Royal Enfield, the world's largest midsize bike maker, has released its sales figures for the month of June. The iconic Bullet maker has registered a 26 per cent increase in its total sales at 77,109 units for June 2023. The superbike maker's domestic sales grew by 34 per cent even as its exports saw a 14 per cent decline, with only 9,614 samples dispatched offshore. In comparison, Royal Enfield - which sells bikes in 350cc and above segments - posted cumulative (domestic + exports) sales of 61,407 units during the month of June in the previous financial year.

In addition, the brand also recorded its best-ever performance in the first quarter of the financial year 2023-24, achieving over 22 per cent growth when compared to the same period of the last fiscal. The company attributed its sales growth to its 350cc motorcycle range, including the Bullet, the Hunter, the Classic, and the Meteor.

Commenting on the sales performance, B Govindarajan, CEO, Royal Enfield, said, "At Royal Enfield, it has been our constant endeavour to create products and experiences that excite our consumers, and our recent performance is a testament to the fact that we have been able to do that well. I am thrilled to share that we continued our stellar growth momentum in FY24 and have registered our highest-ever sales for the first quarter, beating our previous high of Q1FY19. Our recent products continue to perform well across India and International markets, and we are optimistic that our exciting line-up of motorcycles will definitely enthrall pure motorcycling enthusiasts across the globe."

Royal Enfield's Presence in Global Markets 

Moreover, Royal Enfield also recently announced the commencement of operations for its exclusive local assembly unit and CKD facility in Nepal. Set up in collaboration with the Triveni group, the new facility has an assembly capacity of 20,000 units per year, covering around 1 lakh square feet. For those unaware, Royal Enfield's Birgunj facility outside of India is its fifth international CKD assembly unit, after Brazil, Thailand, Colombia, and Argentina.

Upcoming Royal Enfield Bikes 

Royal Enfield is gearing up to roll out several much-anticipated bikes in our home market in the upcoming months, which include the new-Gen Himalayan 450, the Shotgun 650, the next-generation Bullet 350, the 450cc Roadster, etc. Apart from this, the coming years will see the launch of 13 new bikes, according to Royal Enfield. Due to their four motorcycles per year approach for the next three to four years, these new motorcycles will be released in phases. The test mules of these forthcoming motorcycles have been spotted on several occasions undergoing testing on Indian roads.

The next-generation Himalayan 450, which will be on sale in the second half of 2023, is most likely to be the company's first new two-wheeler.
