Kia India reported a 12.7% rise in vehicle sales during the first half of 2025, dispatching over 1.42 lakh units between January and June, up from roughly 1.26 lakh units during the same timeframe last year. This growth was largely fuelled by continued demand for key models such as the Seltos and Sonet, along with the recent addition of the Carens Clavis. Overseas markets also contributed, with the company exporting 11,813 units in the six-month period. Despite prevailing headwinds in the auto sector, Kia’s performance highlights stable consumer interest and a focused product approach. With its first locally manufactured electric vehicle scheduled for launch this month, the brand is looking to maintain its upward trend and expand its reach.
Kia India has yet to announce its June 2025 sales figures. However, available data for the January–May period shows cumulative sales nearing 1.22 lakh units, with monthly figures ranging from 25,000 to 22,000 units.

Specifically, the brand sold 25,025 units in January, followed by 25,026 in February, 25,525 in March, 23,632 in April, and 22,315 in May. With total first-half 2025 dispatches reported at 1.42 lakh units, it can be deduced that Kia sold around 20,600 vehicles in June to complete the half-year total, even though the company hasn't provided the exact monthly breakdown yet.
Kia has previewed the all-electric Carens Clavis ahead of its India launch set for July 15. While it closely mirrors the design of the ICE version, the EV gets a few distinct styling tweaks to reflect its electric nature. These include a sealed-off front panel housing the charging port in place of the conventional grille, along with revised aero-optimised alloy wheels.
The interior layout, including the 7-seater configuration and dashboard design, remains largely familiar. However, the EV variant features a dual-tone black-and-white cabin theme, similar to what is seen on lower trims of the petrol-powered model. With the gear selector removed from the centre console, cabin storage has improved. Likely features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and powered front seats, auto climate control, and a high-end sound system.
