The current model of the Swift is equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that delivers 89bhp and 113Nm. This engine can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Additionally, the same engine can run on CNG, wherein it produces 76.4bhp and 98.5Nm, and is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission.

New Maruti Suzuki Swift On the Way to India 

The Maruti Suzuki Swift is considered to be the company's flagship vehicle in India due to its reliability and affordability. Suzuki introduced the updated Swift at the Tokyo Motor Show in October, which features a new Z12E engine combined with mild hybrid technology. Although there is no official confirmation, the India-spec Swift is anticipated to launch early next year. The current generation Swift is powered by a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 89bhp and 113Nm, paired with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT gearbox. It is predicted that the next-generation Swift will continue to be available in a 2WD configuration and with the same gearbox options when it is released in the market.
