Skoda Auto India has rolled out a brand-new anytime warranty package with a one-year/20,000km coverage, which can be used to supplement any current standard warranty or extended warranty for Skoda vehicles. With its new cars, the automaker currently provides a standard four-year/100,000km warranty. A six-year/150,000km extended warranty is also included. The warranty can be renewed at any time for an additional eight years or 150,000km (whichever is earlier). Currently, Skoda sells sedans like the Slavia, Octavia, and Superb and sport utility vehicles (SUVs) like the Kushaq and Kodiaq in India. With domestic wholesale despatches of 53,721 units in 2022 – a growth of 125.17 per cent over 23,858 units sold in 2021 – Skoda recorded its best-ever performance in India during a calendar year (CY), thanks in large part to models like the Kushaq and Slavia. The automaker increased the number of touchpoints across the nation in CY22 from 175 to over 240. Skoda asserted that through extensive localisation, it also reduced maintenance costs for its vehicles by up to 21 per cent.

In an official statement, the manufacturer remarked, ‘The anytime warranty is designed especially for the older generations of the Kodiaq (TDI), Superb, Octavia, Yeti, and Raid for a one-year/20,000km period. Any Skoda within seven years of age and/or mileage less than 130,000 km is eligible for the anytime warranty post inspection and certification.’

‘And all of these warranties – be it the standard, extended, or anytime warranty – are transferrable to the next owner. Customers who have had their existing warranty expire can also purchase the anytime warranty subject to the car meeting inspection standards,’ it continued.
