Tata Motors Total Sales Decline by 4% to 69,599 Units in April 2023

Tata Motors has announced its sales figures for April 2023. The carmaker registered a total sales of 69,599 units last month, which comprises both domestic & international market sales.

Tata Motors has shared its sales figures for April 2023. Last month, the firm reported selling a total of 69,599 units, which included domestic and overseas sales. It resulted in a decrease in sales of 4% from the 72,468 units sold in April 2022. The total domestic sales were 68,514 units in April 2023, representing a 4% decrease from 71,467 units in April 2022. According to the carmaker, the total passenger vehicle sales stood at 47,007 units in the previous month, depicting a 13.03% increase from the 41,587 units sold in April 2022. On an MoM basis, Tata Motors witnessed a 6.73% growth in sales at 44,044 units sold in March 2023. In the commercial vehicles segment, the firm sold 22,492 commercial vehicles in April 2023 as opposed to 30,838 units sold in April 2022, denoting a 27% decrease.

Tata Motors Sales April 2023 & More Details 

In April 2023, sales of Tata's electric vehicles witnessed an incredible YoY sales growth of 179%. In India, Tata offers electric vehicles, including the Tiago EV, Nexon EV, Nexon EV Max, etc. In a recent development, the carmaker introduced the Dark edition of the Nexon EV Max in India. Prices of the Dark model begin at Rs 19.04 lakh for the XZ+ Lux trim (without a charger) and move up to Rs 19.54 lakh for the XZ+ Lux version (with a charger). All are ex-showroom price figures.

Tata Altroz CNG India Launch Soon?

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the Altroz CNG, which will be the third hatchback in our market to have a factory-installed CNG kit. There is still time for a price announcement, however, the carmaker has started taking pre-orders for the hatchback at Rs 21,000. On the XE, XM+, XZ, and XZ+ trims of the Altroz, the CNG kit will be available. Additionally, the top-spec trim will have features like alloy wheels, automatic air conditioning, a sunroof, and six airbags. Propelling the Altroz in a CNG mode will be a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox, capable of generating 77bhp and 97Nm.
