A car buff never forgets a movie on cars and when Disney Pixar first came out with the concept of making a film about a race car, it captured the attention of every man, woman and child. Cars and Cars 2 protagonist Lightning McQueen was the race ready car who everyone wanted to be, because he was fast and a race winner.
Guess what, you can now meet him in the flesh as a life-size version of the car is up on display in Mumbai at Korum Mall, Thane and Oberoi Mall, Goregaon. Here after a trip around the world, Lightning McQueen will be around for 15 more days in Mumbai after which it moves on to Bangalore and then Delhi.
World’s 3rd largest toy manufacturer, Simba India, is responsible for bringing this animated character to life and Shree Narayan Sabhrawal, Business Head, Simba India, was delighted by the response their creation has got. A brief chat with him gave us an insight about the vision behind this 10/4 ft creation. He said, "For children, toys are part of their growing up years and when they see something on screen come alive in a life-size form, they get all the more excited. Lightning McQueen has become a legend now among children and when they see this they want to buy a remote controlled toy as well All in all, they enjoy the entire experience."
