Aprilia Tuono 660 Preview
The Aprilia Tuono 660 was first unveiled in its concept form at the EICMA show in Milan in 2019. It wasn’t until early-2021 that the Italian manufacturer showcased the Tuono 660 in its production form.
Starting off with the design, the Tuono 660 is a sharp and aggressive naked RS machine. It takes its design inspiration from the bigger Tuono motorcycles, featuring an angular twin-LED headlamp setup, muscular fuel tank, aggressive front fairing, and more. In line with its streetfighter intents, the Tuono 660 also has an exposed engine and frame.
Talking about the engine, it’s a 659cc BS-VI compliant parallel-twin unit, capable of producing 94bhp and 67Nm of torque. It will be further mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and it will also be equipped with a ton of electronics.
Aprilia is all set to introduce the Tuono 660 in the Indian market later this year, sometime before the third quarter. Expect it to be an expensive offering, since it will be brought to our shores via the CBU route.
