<p><em><strong>For the global market, the brand&nbsp;will offer the 2023 Leoncino 500&nbsp;in four colour options: black, red, green, and dark matt&nbsp;grey.</strong></em></p>

<p>The 2023 Leoncino 500 has been officially revealed by <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/benelli/">Benelli</a> in Malaysia. The good news is that the upgraded model&nbsp;is set to make its way to the Indian shores&nbsp;shortly. So, without further ado, let's take a look at the key highlights of the upcoming bike.</p>

<p>Speaking of&nbsp;the drivetrain, the 2023 model continues to be powered by the same engine – a <a href="https://www.autox.com/500cc-bikes-in-india/">500cc </a>liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine with 47.6bhp and 46Nm of peak torque – which is paired with&nbsp;a six-speed transmission. The 2023 Leoncino 500 will be equipped with ABS, a fully digital instrument panel, and LED lighting. Moreover, Benelli may&nbsp;also offer&nbsp;smartphone connectivity as a key feature.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In terms of appearance, the 2023<a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/benelli/leoncino/"> Leoncino 500 </a>has a projector headlamp in the middle and a similar LED headlight. For the most recent model, the saddle has been changed to improve comfort for both the passenger and the rider. The ornate Lion of Pesaro on the front fender, along with the Leoncino 500's butch look, has&nbsp;been preserved. The rear single-sided tyre-hugger gets the scrambler look.</p>

<p>Now, coming to the hardware, the&nbsp;upgraded&nbsp;model gets 50mm USD front forks and an offset rear shock. The braking system features&nbsp;dual 320mm front discs and a single 260mm rear disc. The bike comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, which are shod with&nbsp;Pirelli 120/70 and 160/60 tyres at the front and the rear, respectively.</p>

<p>Although no definite dates have been announced by Benelli yet, the&nbsp;2023 Leoncino 500&nbsp;is expected to be launched in the Indian market very soon.</p>

Benelli unveils India-bound 2023 Leoncino 500

Benelli recently revealed the revised 2023 Leoncino 500 in Malaysia. Powered by a 500cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine producing 47.6bhp, the bike will soon be available in the Indian market.

<p><em><strong>Benelli has announced yet another price hike of Rs 16,000 on its products in India after its previous increase in April this year. when the motorcycles got dearer by Rs. 14,000. </strong></em></p>

<p>The recent hike, that goes up to Rs. 16,000 affects the manufacturer’s middleweight offering including the Leoncino 500 and the 502C.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Prices for the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/benelli/leoncino/">Leoncino 500</a>, which was started at Rs. 5.10 lakh (ex-showroom) ahead of the hike, has been revised to Rs. 5.26 lakh (ex-showroom) in India for the Steel Silver variant. Similarly, the Red variant which previously carried a price tag of Rs 5.20 lakh (ex-showroom) has now been hiked to Rs 5.36 lakh (ex-showroom).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Similarly, the brand’s <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/benelli/502c/">502C</a> also has become dearer by Rs. 16,000 in India. Prices of the motorcycle which previously started at Rs 5.36 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Matte Cognac Red colour have now been increased to Rs. 5.52 lakh (ex-showroom). The Glossy Black model which was available at Rs 5.41 lakh (ex-showroom) now costs Rs 5.57 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. Meanwhile, the top-rung Matte Black unit now costs Rs 5.62 lakh (ex-showroom), which is a premium of Rs 16,00 over its previous price tag of Rs 5.46 lakh (ex-showroom).&nbsp;</p>

<p>It is to be noted that the price hike does not bring about any revisions to the motorcycle. Both the motorcycles still come with the same BS-VI compliant 500cc parallel-twin engine, a liquid-cooled engine that outputs 46.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 46Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. &nbsp; &nbsp;</p>

Within a few months of its previous hike in prices, Benelli has once again increased the prices of its products in India. The brand's Leoncino 500 and the 502C have gotten an increase of Rs. 16,000 in India.

<p>Benelli India has a total of three motorcycles on sale in the 500cc middle-weight class – Leoncino 500, TRK 502, and the TRK 502X. The Italian motorcycle maker has introduced another product in the lineup, the Benelli Leoncino 500 Sport in the international market.</p>

<p>As the name suggests, Benelli Leoncino 500 Sport is based on the Leoncino 500 scrambler, but sports cafe-racer-like styling. The single-piece handlebar has been replaced by clip-on and the exhaust sports a new stubby twin-barrel&nbsp;design. The motorcycle gets 17-inch spoke-wired wheels that have been borrowed from the adventure-tourer 502X.</p>

<p>The motorcycle also gets an arched visor that adds more to the cafe racer appeal. There is also a very utilitarian saddle bag on the Leoncino 500 Sport. With all the additional bits, the motorcycle has gained 2kg over the Leoncino 500 and the Sport weighs in at 198kg.</p>

<p>The engine a 499cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled motor, the same unit found all the 500cc Benelli’s sold in India. The motor is tuned to deliver 1Bhp and 1Nm over the Leoncino 500 and the Sport produces 48Bhp at 8,500rpm and peak torque of 47Nm at 5,500rpm. The cycle parts are the same as the Leoncino 500. For suspension, there are 50mm upside-down forks in the front and a mono-shock in the rear. The braking setup has been carried forward too, with 320mm twin disc in the front and a 260mm disc in the rear.</p>

<p>There is a very slim chance of Benelli introducing&nbsp;the Leoncino 500 Sport in the Indian market as the company already has a strong middle-weight lineup in India, but if launched, the Leoncino Sport 500 could directly rival the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. However, Only time will tell if Benelli India plans on bringing the Leoncino 500 Sport or&nbsp;the BS6 Leoncino 250, or the new generation of the 302R fully-faired motorcycle first.</p>

<p><strong><em>The Leoncino 500 becomes&nbsp;Benelli's third BS6 product for India. Surprisingly, it's priced about&nbsp;₹20,000 less than its predecessor.</em></strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Just a few days after launching the <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/bs6-benelli-trk-502-launched-cheaper-than-before-108953/">BS6 version of the TrK 502 ADV</a>, Benelli has launched the BS6 Leoncino 500 today, which is priced at&nbsp;₹4.60 lakh for the Steel Grey colour option. At this price point, Benelli claims the Leoncino 500 has&nbsp;become&nbsp;the most affordable parallel-twin street scrambler in the country. Speaking of affordability, the BS6 version is also priced about&nbsp;₹20,000 less than its&nbsp;<a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/benelli-leoncino-launched-106383/">BS4 iteration (launch price comparison)</a>. This time though, the&nbsp;Leoncino red colour option&nbsp;will attract an extra&nbsp;₹10,000, as it is priced at&nbsp;₹4.70 lakh (all price figures are ex-showroom).</p>

<p>Apart from the shift to BS6, there are no&nbsp;other changes to the motorcycle, both visually and mechanically. It's still powered by a 500cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled&nbsp;motor, which develops an unchanged 46.8bhp @&nbsp;at 8,500rpm and 46Nm of torque @&nbsp;6,000rpm. The engine comes paired with a six-speed gearbox. A 50mm inverted fork and a laterally-mounted hydraulic monoshock (rebound&nbsp;&amp; pre-load adjustable) manage the front and rear suspension duties, respectively, while dual 320mm discs at the front and a single 260mm rotor at the back complete the brake setup. Switchable, dual-channel ABS comes as standard as well.</p>

<p>An important update worth mentioning here is that Benelli is now offering a three-year/unlimited-kilometre&nbsp;standard warranty on the BS6 Leoncino 500, whereas for&nbsp;the BS4 model, it was a five-year period. Bookings for the BS6 model are open at&nbsp;₹10,000 and can be made either online or at any Benelli authorised dealership.</p>

BS6 Benelli Leoncino 500 launched at Rs 4.60 lakh

Just a few days after launching the BS6 version of the TrK 502 ADV, Benelli has launched the BS6 Leoncino 500 today, priced at ₹4.60 lakh for the Steel Grey colour option. The Leoncino Red, however, will attract an extra ₹10,000 as it is priced at ₹4.70 lakh (all price figures are ex-showroom).

<p><b>The Leoncino will become the second new model, after the TrK 502, to be sold since change of management last year. The neo-retro offering will sport the same engine as the TrK 502</b></p>

<p>A teaser released by Benelli India tells us that the company is all set to bring in the Leoncino to India on 5<sup>th</sup> August. The Leoncino has been on the cards for India for the past few years. In fact, even under the management of DSK, the neo-retro offering was expected to be launched in India. But it seems that Mahavir Group is continuing from where DSK left off.</p>

<p>Coming to the motorcycle itself, the Leoncino is based on the same motor as the TrK 502 and 502X. The 499.6cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled motor pushes out 47 horses and 46Nm. The Leoncino will also be paired with a 6-speed transmission. Up front, the Leoncino sits on upside down forks with 125mm of travel. Stopping power comes from two 320mm discs at the front and a 260mm one at the back, both of which will be assisted by ABS. In the global market, the Leoncino is on sale in two variants – standard with 17-inch wheels and a scrambler with larger 19-inch wheels. The motorcycle tips the scale at 186kg.</p>

<p>Expect the Leoncino to be priced less that the TrK range, starting at around Rs 4.9-5 lakh (ex-showroom). This will be the second new model to be introduced since Mahavir Group took over the business. The motorcycle doesn’t quite have a direct competitor at that price or at a similar displacement. That being said, Ducati offers the Scrambler Icon and Triumph has the Street Scrambler on offer in India.</p>

Benelli Leoncino launch on 5th August

A teaser released by Benelli India tells us that the company is all set to bring in the Leoncino to India on 5th August. It is based on the same motor as the TrK 502 and 502X. The 499.6cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled motor pushes out 47 horses and 46Nm.

<p>Benelli India has started putting out teasers of its next launch on its social media pages. Based on comments and responses, we think that the bike in question here could be the Leoncino 500. While the European markets get the Leoncino 250 &amp; the Leoncino Trail (off-road version) as well, India is most likely to get the single road-spec 500cc derivative of the bike. Benelli India might expand the Leoncino line-up based on customer response.</p>

<p>The Leoncino 500 is powered by Benelli's 499.6cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor, which develops 46.9bhp &amp; 46Nm of torque. While it is styled like a scrambler, the defining design element of the Leoncino 500 is its visible tubular steel frame, which wraps itself around the engine. An all-black theme running across the engine, frame, suspension forks, wheels, and the headlight casing give it a really butch appeal. Apart from the Red colour, the Leoncino 500 is also available in Grey and Black colours.</p>

<p>The bike gets adjustable 50mm USD forks and an adjustable mono-shock setup at the rear. Braking duties are carried out by a 320mm dual disc mounted between 4-piston callipers at the front, while the rear wheel gets a 260mm single disc with a twin-piston calliper. The Euro-spec model also gets ABS as standard and a 12.7-litre fuel tank. <p>As the teasers online don’t give a hint of the new bike's exact launch date, some rumours suggest that the launch could take place in as early as August. However, we're yet to receive a formal confirmation. Also, all the above-mentioned specs belong to the Euro-spec model. It will be interesting to see how many changes are made to the bike before it arrives on our shores.</p>

Benelli Leoncino 500 could arrive in India soon

Benelli India has started putting out teasers of its next launch on its social media pages. Based on the comments and responses, we think the bike in question here is the Leoncino 500.

        scrambler with balanced performance and all-day comfort. It is powered by a
        500cc twin-cylinder engine, offering decent power, a rugged look, and good
        rideability. The Leoncino 500 competes with the Honda CB500X and the Royal
        Enfield Scram 411 for its multi-purpose styling and ride comfort.</p>
