Hero Splendor Plus Xtec Engine, Specifications, and Performance

This motorcycle has an air-cooled four-stroke single-cylinder engine of 97.2cc displacement mated with a four-speed constant mesh gearbox through a multi-plate wet clutch. The engine has a programmed injection-based fuel supply system and puts out a maximum power of 7.9bhp at 8000 rpm and a peak torque of 8.05Nm at 6000 rpm. The claimed Hero Splendor Plus Xtec mileage is 80 km/l albeit the real-world mileage is said to be about 60 km/l.
