This scooter is equipped with a 110.9cc air-cooled, four-stroke spark ignition engine with a fuel injector fuel delivery system. It gets mated with a Variomatic drive gearbox through an automatic centrifugal dry clutch system, in order to transfer the engine power to the wheels to propel the vehicle. The engine churns out a maximum power of 8.04bhp at 7250 rpm and an utmost torque of 8.70 Nm at 5750 rpm, which help the vehicle achieve a top speed of 87 km/h and an acceleration of 0-60 km/h within 9.35 seconds, as stated by the manufacturer. Further, the claimed Hero Xoom 110 mileage is 45 km/l which is variable based on the driving style and traffic conditions.
Moving further on to the Xoom specifications, it is built on an underbone chassis and has telescopic hydraulic front shock absorbers, a unit swing with the spring-loaded hydraulic damper in the rear, 12-inch alloy wheels with 90mm wide tubeless tyre in the front and 100mm wide tubeless tyre in the rear, and 190mm front disc brake and 130mm rear drum brake. Although, the base variant gets a 90mm wide rear tyre and a front drum brake of 130 mm only.
In terms of dimensions, this hero scooter has a length of 1881mm, a width of 717/731mm, and a height of 1118mm, along with a wheelbase of 1300mm, a ground clearance of 155mm, and a saddle height of 770mm. The fuel tank capacity of this two-wheeler is 5.2 litres and it weighs to be of 109 kg.

The front of the scooter flaunts an aerodynamically designed apron that houses a projector LED headlamp with daytime running lights and a Hero H-position lamp. The handlebar head houses trapezium-like turn indicators, hexagonal rear-view mirrors, and a black visor. Furthermore, it gets a digital speedometer with a real-time mileage indicator, low fuel indicator, digital odometer, digital clock, and SMS/call alerts through smartphone Bluetooth connectivity. Apart from these, it encompasses a large under-seat storage with LED illumination, a front glove box, a stand alarm, and a pass light, to name a few.

This scooter is sold in four variants LX, VX, ZX, and Combat Edition with slightly differing offerings.
