OLA Roadster X5 Powertrain and Transmission

The Roadster X5 comes with three Lithium-ion battery options – a 2.5 kWh, a 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh. The electric motor clubbed with either of the battery belts out a maximum power of 11000W, irrespective of the variant. The power is transferred to the wheels through an automatic transmission system.

This Ola electric bike achieves an acceleration of 0-40 km/h within 2.8 seconds. Its top speed goes up to 105 km/h with the smallest battery and 117 km/h with the 3.5 kWh battery. The Roadster X5 top speed, for the top variant with 5.5 kWh, is 124 km/h.

OLA Roadster X5 Riding Range

The base variant delivers a range of 117km on a single charge while the mid-variant delivers 159 km. The top variant offers a range of 200 km on a single charge. These batteries can be charged in 3.3 hours, 4.6 hours, and 5.9 hours, respectively, with a fast charger.

The bike sits on a steel frame and has a telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers. It rides on alloy wheels wearing the radial tubeless tyres. The braking duties are performed by a front disc and rear drum brake. It also includes a combi braking system that provides better stopping power and optimum control.

The Roadster X5 electric bike flaunts a sleek headlamp design with a striking daytime running light. The sleek turn indicators are placed slightly higher near the handlebar. The rear-view mirrors are designed in a multidimensional design that enhances the vehicle’s futuristic look. The side profile exhibits a boxy edgy design in dual-tone. The seat is single and boasts a pillion grab bar. The powertrain is covered by dual-tone housing, making is secure and safeguarding the riders. The rear profile showcases a wide tail light, turn indicators, and a registration plate illumination light.

This electric bike has a 4.3-inch segmented LCD display that provides all essential rider information. It also has turn-by-turn navigation system and several smart connectivity features. The bike has LED lighting system that provides better visibility. It also gets three ride modes – Sports, Normal, and Eco. Additionally, it has an advanced regen system that keeps charging the battery even when you are riding. It also has a cruise control system that gives time to the rider’s wrists in between the ride.

The Roadster X5 also has a reverse mode that offers easy reversing in busy traffic conditions. On the safety front, this vehicle gets tyre pressure monitor alert system that keeps the tyre pressure on check. The bike’s security is ensured through geofencing, find your vehicle, and tow, theft, and tamper detection features.
