BMW M5 Overview
It’s sportier, faster, and strictly means business. The BMW M5 blends luxury with unadulterated performance, and this might just be the super sedan that can adhere to family duties as well as occasional spirited driving sessions. The addition of the revered ‘M’ moniker alone means that this Beemer strictly means business and comes with an extra dose of power and drama.
Where the M5 makes for an extremely enticing package thanks to its practicality, it means this stiffened 5 Series can also be used as a family car despite its sports car traits. Now available in just the ‘Competition’ spec, the M5 is tighter, more precise, better dynamically, and aesthetically dressed in overall sportier clothing to give it that demeaning look. Not to mention, it remains to be as practical as the standard M5. But mind you, the BMW M5 price, too, is well north of a crore, especially in the Competition trim.
BMW M5 Exterior
Over the earlier M5, the Competition-spec BMW M5 new model gets a blacked-out front grille, ORVM casing, M rear spoiler at the back, and side air vents. The M5 Competition sits 7mm lower than the erstwhile M5 and the suspension is stiffened by 10%.
The alloy wheels, which are finished in gloss black, look extremely sporty and enhance the overall visual appeal of the super sedan. The overall side profile might be similar to the standard 5 Series, but the additional modifications does lend it a sporty look.
BMW M5 Variants
The BMW M5 variants are as follows: Competition. As for the equipment, the Competition-spec M5 gets two 12.3-inch displays, one for the fully digital instrument cluster and the other for the infotainment system, which supports wireless Apple Carplay among other connectivity features. The ‘M’ steering wheel with contrast red and blue stitching adds a layer of sport to the M5, and yes it does come with paddle shifters as well.
BMW M5 Interior
The cockpit-style cabin of the M5 might seem a bit too familiar for those who’ve been in the more recent BMWs, but the sporty touches do add a bit to justice this as a more expensive and, of course, a racier car. While the design of the dashboard might not be all that new, the quality and materials are on par with other cars in the same price range as the BMW M5 on-road price.
As said earlier, the space inside is remarkable for a sports car, as it can easily ferry around four passengers in utmost comfort.
BMW M5 Engine Specifications & Performance
