Nissan GT-R Overview
Nissan’s flagship sports car, the GT-R is lauded across the world for it offers exhilarating performance and is, therefore, known to give a breath-taking experience behind the wheel. The GT-R is now in its sixth-generation globally, but this is the first time it has officially made its way to the Indian market.
Known as the ‘Godzilla’ among purists, the GT-R has always had a cult following in the Indian market, even though it officially made its way here in 2016. Even though the Nissan GT-R price is nothing shy of a supercar, it’s still the best machine for enthusiasts with deep pockets. Here’s the complete low-down of the GT-R should you know before visiting your nearest Nissan dealership.
Nissan GT-R Exterior
As said above, the GT-R is now in its sixth generation. Therefore, Nissan has made some substantial updates to distinguish it from its pre-facelift model. Compared to the model it replaces, the GT-R looks saner and slightly less intimidating.
Regardless, the Nissan GT-R new model now has an aerodynamic design, which is a bit sharper than its predecessor, a bit more compact and a lot edgier in comparison. Even still, the slightly friendlier face doesn’t necessarily mean the GT-R won’t grab many eyeballs on the move. But now it will all be for good reasons.
Nissan GT-R Variants
The Nissan GT-R variants are as follows: Sport. With the sixth-generation update, Nissan has ensured the GT-R oozes opulence. Therefore, it comes equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre, which features all the necessary gizmos.
Nissan GT-R Interior
The interior of the GT-R is a nice place to be. Nissan has certainly upped the opulence factor with the sixth-generation model. While the GT-R has advanced in terms of technology over the years, it still feels analogue, which, in turn, is the real beauty of this machine. It still has the old school charm of retro sports cars.
Moreover, the driver sits facing an analogue instrument cluster and a three-spoke sports steering wheel. There’s also an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system which sits in the middle of the dashboard. The cabin has swathes of Napa leather, which is something you’d expect from Nissan GT-R on-road price. The seats are surprisingly comfortable too.
Nissan GT-R Engine Specifications & Performance
Under the hood, the GT-R packs a 3.8-litre V6 petrol engine, which is capable of churning out 565bhp and 637Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox as a standard fit. As far as numbers go, the GT-R can breach the 100km/h mark from a standstill in just under 3 seconds.
