When it comes to the world of royalty and royal cars, it’s hardly a debate that Rolls Royce rules the roost. Be it the impeccable machinery, opulent fit and finish or the spirit of ecstasy, a Rolls Royce makes every head turn.
As of now Rolls Royce is gearing up with an updated iteration of the Ghost. Two of the Rolls Royce New Ghost variants – Standard and Extended Wheelbase (EWB) have been spotted testing. It is expected that the New Ghost model will make its debut by the end of this year.
Rolls Royce is aiming to achieve significant weight reduction with the help of the new platform for the New Ghost. Similar to the Rolls Royce Phantom VIII and the Cullinan, the new Rolls Royce Ghost will be underpinned by the aluminium platform that is the base for its siblings.
The Rolls Royce New Ghost will feature a new set of headlamps, tail lights and reworked front and rear bumpers. Although, there isn’t much information regarding the interior specifications yet, it is expected that the New Ghost model will draw inspiration from the Cullinan SUV.
The Rolls Royce New Ghost is expected to draw power from the same 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 engine that currently churns out 570bhp of power and 900Nm of torque coupled with a 9-speed automatic transmission. It is expected that an all-electric or a plug-in hybrid trim could also be on offer!
The Rolls Royce New Ghost price is expected to be around a whopping Rs. 6.95 cr to 7.5 cr in India.
