2018 Hero Passion Pro, Passion XPro launched

Hero's popular commuter series gets more features and updated look for 2018.

Close on the heels of launching the new Hero Super Splendor, Hero MotoCorp has now introduced the 2018 Passion Pro and Passion XPro at Rs. 53,189 and Rs. 54,189 (both ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively.

On aesthetic front, both these commuter bikes feature a semi-digital instrumentation with digital fuel gauge, trip meter, auto headlamp on (AHO) and front disc brake options. Positioned above the Passion Pro, the XPro also comes with a LED tail lamps and dual-tone mirrors. The Passion Pro will be available in five different colours, while the XPro will be available with a sports red shade and dual tone colours.

Both these motorcycles draw their power from the same engine, which is a single-cylinder, 110cc motor that is good for 9.3bhp of power at 7,500rpm and 9Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. Hero claims that this motor makes 12 per cent more power and torque than its predecessor. Also, Hero’s i3S (idle-stop-start system) comes standard to enhance fuel economy. The 0 – 60km/h sprint time is claimed to be 7.45 seconds for both motorcycles.

Passion is the second largest selling motorcycle brand in the country, behind Hero's Splendor brand. The Passion 100cc has been currently growing at around 20%.
