2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 India launch on September 1

The launch date of the 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 has been confirmed. The new modern classic from the Indian motorcycle maker is expected to be based on a new platform and house a new engine.
The next-generation Royal Enfield Classic 350 is all set to be launched in India on September 1, 2021. It will be sold alongside the outgoing model, which will be gradually phased out of the market, most likely, by 2022. The new motorcycle will be based on the same platform and will feature the same powertrain, a 249cc single-cylinder oil-cooled unit, as the Meteor. The engine output is expected to be in the 20bhp ballpark. The gearbox will be a five-speed unit. Along with a new chassis, the new Classic 350 will also feature new suspension components. The feature list is expected to be on par with other bikes in the segment. The new modern classic will likely feature a part digital and analogue instrument cluster.

The motorcycle will most likely be offered in a single-seat variant but with an option of a rear seat. Expect the new Classic 350 to offer similar customisation options as are available with the Meteor.

The new Classic 350's prices will most likely fall in the Rs 1.9 – 2 lakh range. Its main rival, the Honda H’ness CB350, is also similarly priced. The new Royal Enfield Classic 350 will also rival the Benelli Imperiale 400, which is priced at Rs 1.9 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Jawa standard, which retails at Rs 1.78 lakh (Ex-showroom).
