Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has introduced e-clutch variants of the CB650R and CBR650R in the Indian market. These models were first launched in January 2025 without this feature. The Honda CB650R e-clutch variant is priced from Rs 9.60 lakh (ex-showroom). The sportier CBR650R e-clutch variant starts at Rs 10.40 lakh (ex-showroom). Now, with the addition of the e-clutch, Honda brings a global innovation to Indian riders, making these middleweight bikes more appealing and easier to ride. The e-clutch system, introduced by Honda globally in 2023, removes the need for manual clutch use. It offers smooth gear shifts and reduces rider fatigue, especially in traffic or on long rides. This system enhances comfort while keeping the manual gearbox experience intact.

The introduction of E-Clutch is a step into the future, giving riders a unique blend of control and comfort, reinforcing Honda’s leadership in technological advancement.'
Both bikes feature a 5-inch full-colour TFT screen. The display connects to smartphones via the Honda RoadSync app. Riders can access navigation, call alerts, and message notifications, bringing a tech-friendly experience to daily rides.
The CB650R has a naked look, a round headlamp, and a sculpted tank, offered in Chromosphere Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic. In contrast, the fully-faired CBR650R has a twin-headlamp design and sportier looks, available in Grand Prix Red and Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic. Both use Showa front forks, rear mono-shocks, and dual-channel ABS for braking.
Both bikes continue to run on a 649cc, liquid-cooled, four-cylinder engine. This engine delivers 94bhp at 12,000 rpm and 63Nm of torque at 9,500 rpm. The 6-speed gearbox works with the e-clutch for a seamless power delivery to the rear wheel.
