2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100 Launched at Rs 12.90 Lakh in India; Bookings Open

Kawasaki has launched the 2025 Versys 1100 in India, with bookings now open for interested buyers. The new Versys 1100 takes over from the older Versys 1000, with a more competitive price of Rs 12.90 lakh – almost Rs 1 lakh less than its predecessor, which was last available for Rs 13.91 lakh. Prices are ex-showroom. The adventure-touring motorcycle is powered by a bigger 1,099cc inline-four engine, delivering strong performance for long-distance rides. The newly launched bike is ready to take on the likes of the Triumph Tiger 1200, Ducati Multistrada V4, and the BMW R 1300 GS. It offers practical features like traction control, multiple riding modes, all-LED lighting, and an adjustable windscreen. The upright seating position and long-travel suspension offer better comfort for extended journeys. 2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100: Variants and Design

The 2025 model is globally available in three variants: Base, S, and SE. For the Indian market, the new Versys 1100 will be offered exclusively in the 'Standard' variant, with a single paint job: Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray with Metallic Diablo Black.

From a design perspective, the overall look remains familiar, with the bike retaining the sharp, muscular fairing and the distinctive twin-LED headlight setup. While the core styling is unchanged, the bike sports larger connector pipes around the engine area and a bigger radiator to ensure efficient cooling. Moreover, the bike rides on 17-inch wheels, providing reliable grip and stability across diverse road conditions.

2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100: Engine Specs

One of the most significant changes is the engine. Kawasaki has introduced a larger 1,099cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder DOHC engine, replacing the older 1,043cc unit. The intake ports have been redesigned to accommodate a revised throttle body, while adjustments to the cam profiles with reduced valve lift optimise torque delivery. The engine now produces 133bhp of maximum power at 9,000rpm and 112Nm of peak torque at 7,600rpm.

Power is transferred via a six-speed return-shift transmission that includes a slipper and assist clutch. Furthermore, the flywheel has been made heavier, and a secondary balancer has been added to reduce vibrations. An oil cooler helps regulate engine temperature during extended use.

2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100: Hardware and Features

Braking performance has been enhanced with a larger 260mm rear disc and dual 310mm discs at the front. The suspension system comprises adjustable inverted forks at the front and a horizontal back-link, gas-charged shock at the rear, offering rebound damping and spring preload adjustability. The bike features a 21-litre fuel tank and has a dry weight of 235kg, making it well-suited for long-distance touring and everyday riding alike.
