Kawasaki has rolled out the 2026 Ninja 650 in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 7.91 lakh. The new version is on sale alongside the MY25 model and replaces the earlier price tag of Rs 7.77 lakh, marking an increase of Rs 14,000. With this update, Kawasaki continues to strengthen its presence in the middleweight faired motorcycle space. The Ninja 650 remains aimed at riders who want a machine that can handle daily riding while still offering enough performance for longer weekend runs. Rather than introducing a major redesign, Kawasaki has followed its usual approach of making measured updates for the new model year.

The most noticeable change on the 2026 Ninja 650 is the updated Lime Green paint scheme paired with revised graphics. This is the only colour option available for the India-spec bike. While overseas markets get grey and black finishes, Kawasaki has chosen to limit Indian buyers to a single colourway. Apart from this update, the styling stays the same. The fairing design, body panels and twin LED headlamp setup carry over from the MY25 model, ensuring visual continuity between both versions.
Under the bodywork, the Ninja 650 continues with the 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. For 2026, the motor is now compatible with E20 fuel. Output figures remain unchanged, with 67bhp produced at 8,000rpm and peak torque of 64 Nm from 6,700 to 8,000 rpm. Power is sent through a six-speed gearbox, supported by an assist-and-slipper clutch that helps manage downshifts and braking loads.
The bike still uses a steel trellis frame, suspended by a 41mm telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking hardware includes twin 300mm front discs and a 220mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS offered as standard. Suspension travel stands at around 125 mm at the front and 130 mm at the rear.

In terms of equipment, the 2026 Ninja 650 continues with Kawasaki Traction Control and a 4.3-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity. The display works with the Rideology app to provide ride data and alerts. LED lighting, dual throttle valves, 17-inch alloy wheels, a 1,410 mm wheelbase and 130 mm ground clearance remain unchanged. Seat height is 790 mm, kerb weight is 196 kg and the fuel tank holds 15 litres. Priced at Rs 7.91 lakh, the Ninja 650 stays positioned below the Honda CBR650R in India, keeping it within reach for riders stepping into this segment.
