Hero Karizma XMR

Hero MotoCorp has silently withdrawn the most budget-friendly variant of the Karizma XMR 210 from its Indian portfolio, effectively raising the model’s entry point to around Rs 2 lakh. The discontinued version, which retailed at Rs 1.81 lakh, was equipped with conventional front forks and a basic LCD console. With this variant no longer on sale, the Karizma XMR is now limited to two higher-end trims, the Top variant (Rs 1.99 lakh) and the Combat Edition (Rs 2.01 lakh). All mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures. Both come with notable upgrades, including USD front forks, a 4.2-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, and sharper styling. By eliminating the lower-spec option, Hero has repositioned the Karizma XMR as a more upmarket offering, targeting buyers seeking a more feature-rich and performance-oriented package.

Hero Karizma XMR: Features, Variants, Hardware, and More

Hero updated the Karizma XMR range in April by expanding the lineup to include a higher-spec ‘Top’ trim along with a distinct, limited-run ‘Combat Edition’. One of the most notable improvements is the replacement of the basic LCD console with a fully digital TFT unit. This new screen brings over 35 functions, including auto-adjusting brightness for day and night, dual ABS mode indicators, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, gear position display, call and SMS alerts, and even media playback controls.

With the entry-level variant discontinued, the Karizma XMR is now only available in two versions – Top and Combat – priced at Rs 2 lakh and Rs 2.01 lakh, respectively (ex-showroom). This marks a price jump of nearly Rs 19,000 over the earlier base model, initially launched at Rs 1.73 lakh. The motorcycle is offered in a range of colour schemes, including Iconic Yellow, Turbo Red, and Matte Phantom Black.

Under the bodywork, the Karizma XMR remains unchanged mechanically. It continues to be powered by a 210cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 25bhp at 9,250rpm and 20.4Nm of torque at 7,250rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and assisted by a slip-and-assist clutch. Designed for riders seeking a faired, performance-leaning motorcycle under 250cc, the bike continues to sit on a trellis frame.

It rides on 17-inch black alloy wheels, with braking handled by a 300mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc, equipped with dual-channel ABS. A key hardware upgrade is the addition of upside-down front forks, now standard, while the rear retains a gas-charged monoshock.

The Karizma XMR also gets a seat height of 810mm, 180mm of ground clearance, and an 11-litre fuel tank. Rounding off the updates is a full suite of LED lighting, including the turn indicators, enhancing both visibility and styling.
