Hero Harley Partnership

Hero MotoCorp has also appointed Ravi Avalur, former Head of Strategy and International Business at Cooper. Prior to Cooper, Avalur was Managing Director of Ducati India. Hero has also on boarded 11 dealers from Harley’s previous network

Three months after the official announcement of the Hero-Harley partnership, Hero MotoCorp has now set up a separate vertical for Harley Davidson in India. The company has also announced Ravi Avalur as the Business Unit Head. Prior to this, Avalur was the Head of Strategy and International Business at Cooper (engine and components manufacturer). Avalur has also held the position of Managing Director at Ducati India.

Hero MotoCorp has setup a team of four from the erstwhile H-D India team. As far as sales and service go, Hero has managed to retain 11 Harley Davidson dealers in 11 major cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru and more. Hero also has plans to further expand the Harley network to some more markets across the country. The official statement also revealed that Hero has also commenced wholesale dispatches of H-D products to the dealers on 18th January.

Meanwhile, in the global market, Harley Davidson has recently taken the wraps off the 2021 range. The American manufacturer showcased the new Street Bab, Fat Boy and the updated Touring range. The company is all set to pull the covers off their first adventure-tourer, the Pan America on 22nd February. Follow the below links to know more about Harley’s 2021 range of motorcycles.
