Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has recently launched the Activa 7G H-Smart in India. Three versions of the brand-new Activa - Smart, Standard, and Deluxe, will be offered in the market. The Smart version costs Rs 80,537, while the Standard and Deluxe versions are priced at Rs 74,536 and Rs 77,036, respectively, (all prices, ex-showroom). At the launch event, the company hinted at its upcoming EV lineup and now it is expected that the firm might launch its first electric scooter by 2024. The new electric scooter is highly anticipated to be the electric variant of the Honda Activa. According to the company, the upcoming EV will have a fixed battery and could offer a maximum driving range of 50 Kilometre. It has also been revealed that apart from the anticipated Activa EV version, the firm might also bring another electric scooter, which will have a brand-new platform. The second anticipated model by the company is likely to boast a swappable battery setup.

Coming to the Activa Electric Version, the appearance of the model is expected to be the same as the petrol-powered model. The range of the Activa Electric will probably be lesser as compared to the vehicles like the Hero Vida V1 Pro, which has a certified range of 165 Kilometre. With plans to introduce its EV lineup, the company will open 6000 battery-swapping stations at the majority of its consumer touchpoints in the nation. By doing so, Honda will reduce future issues for its expected EV with a swappable-battery setup in India.

With the SmartStart function, you may start the scooter by just flipping the switch that is situated where the key slot would be. On the mechanical front, the newly launched scooter continues with the same 109.55cc single-cylinder motor that produces 7.7bhp and 8.9Nm. The 2023 Activa version will be available in six colour options - Pearl Siren Blue, Decent Blue, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Black, Rebel Red Metallic, and Pearl Precious White. As for the market rivals, the new Activa will go against the models like the Ola S1 Pro, the Ather 450X, the TVS iQube, the Bajaj Chetak, and others in India.
