KTM's 390 range has expanded in India with the more off-road focused Enduro R. While the bike shares many similarities with its more balanced off-road counterpart, the 390 Adventure, there are notable differences in design and capabilities. The Enduro R is suitable for hardcore offroaders, while the Adventure caters to riders seeking a balance between comfort and versatile touring.

Notably, the India-spec version features some distinct changes compared to the international model. Let’s take a look at the key differences between the Enduro R and the 390 Adventure.

The Enduro R features an 18-inch rear wheel, larger than the 17-inch wheel found on the 390 Adventure. It is fitted with Mitas E07+ Enduro Trail tyres, designed to provide enhanced grip on rugged terrains, though unlike the 390 Adventure, they are not tubeless.

The Adventure's electronics include cruise control and cornering ABS, geared toward touring. The Enduro R, though missing these, gets off-road advantages with two ride modes, a quickshifter, off-road ABS, and switchable traction control, which makes it a more specialised off-road machine than the base Adventure X.
