Suzuki has launched a limited-run version of the Katana for the German market, with a production run of just 45 units. The exclusive model is available for Rs 15,045 euros (about Rs 16.11 lakh), which makes it costlier than the standard version, which is priced at 14,400 euros (around Rs 15.41 lakh). In India, the Katana is no longer available, as Suzuki Motorcycle India removed it from its lineup last year. For reference, the bike went on sale here in July 2022. As the regular model itself has been discontinued, the arrival of this Germany-exclusive special edition in India is highly unlikely. That said, here’s what makes the Germany-only Katana Limited Edition stand out from its standard counterpart.

Cosmetically, the changes are in the form of a few graphics and a new colour scheme. For instance, the motorcycle gets silver body panels contrasted by bronze wheels. Unlike the standard model’s body-coloured rear section, this version gets a black tail. To highlight its limited-run status, the bike comes with several special additions, including a carbon-look tank pad, a numbered sticker indicating its production number out of 45 units, frame sliders, and a branded garage mat with the Katana logo.

Mechanically, the Suzuki Katana Limited Edition remains the same. It continues to be powered by the 999cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine that produces 150bhp of maximum power and 106Nm of peak torque. However, Suzuki has equipped the bike with a road-legal slip-on exhaust muffler from Akrapovic. Apart from this upgrade, the suspension, chassis, and electronic rider aids remain identical to the standard Suzuki Katana. These include an aluminium frame, KYB suspension, and Brembo brakes with radially mounted callipers, three ride modes, a standard bidirectional quickshifter, three riding modes, and a five-level switchable traction control system using the Suzuki Traction Control System.
