New Hero Optima CX, NYX Launched in India; Check Prices, Specs and More

Hero Electric has officially launched the all-new range of the Optima CX and the NYX in India. The latest versions of its three electric scooters - the Optima CX5.0, the Optima CX2.0, and the NYX CX5.0 - are priced between Rs 85,000 and Rs 1.30 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. The prices vary depending on the variant. A few days ago, the company released a teaser video of its brand-new electric scooter on its social media accounts, leaving us guessing whether the scooter would be a new model or an updated Hero Optima. The latest offerings from the company's innovative and electrifying line-up are now available with improved powertrain and enhanced safety.

New Hero Optima CX, NYX: Battery, Range, Top Speed

According to the company, the brand-new range of Hero electric scooters is packed with cutting-edge Japanese motor technology for a smooth ride and German ECU technology to perform to their optimum in varied weather conditions.

Talking about their battery, the Optima CX5.0 (dual battery) and the NYX CX5.0 (dual battery) are packed with a 3kWh C5 Li-ion battery and a 1.9kW motor, resulting in a range of 113 kilometre. The former is claimed to have a top speed of 55km/h, while the latter has a claimed range of 48km/h. Coming to the Hero Optima CX2.0 (single battery), it is equipped with a 1.9kW motor and makes use of a 2kWh battery, having a range of 89 kilometre and a top speed of 48km/h.

"The extensive feedback from our 6 lac bikes over 15 years has helped us design our new range of power trains that converts almost every drop of battery power into useful km. The secret lies in a super-intelligent close-loop sync system that senses in real-time, every little variation in the load and road condition to deliver just the right amount of energy without any wastage", commented Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric.

New Hero Optima CX, NYX: Features & Colour options

The latest range of Hero scooters features a battery safety alarm, drive mode lock, reverse roll protection, and a side stand sensor. In addition, the new models are claimed to have hibernating battery technology for more mileage and a dynamically synchronised powertrain. The built-in software on the models is said to improve vehicular diagnostics that include maximum battery life protection, remote maintenance, and increased charging efficiency.

As far as colour options are concerned, the newly launched Optima CX5.0 comes in Dark Matte Blue and Matte Maroon shades, while the Optima CX2.0 is available in Dark Matte Blue and Charcoal Black colour options. The NYX CX5.0 gets Charcoal Black and Pearl White colours.
