Hero MotoCorp has started the deliveries of its popular Vida V1 electric scooter in Delhi after Bengaluru and Jaipur. The company opened a brand-new experience centre in the National Capital, where it will offer its first two electric scooters, the V1 Plus and the V1 Pro. The firm has begun delivering its electric scooters in Delhi in addition to announcing the opening of the new dealership. In November 2022, Hero MotoCorp began taking reservations for the Vida V1 lineup. After Bengaluru and Jaipur, the national capital is the third city where the two-wheeler manufacturer has begun deliveries of the electric scooter under the VIDA brand. In a stock exchange filing, the company stated that the e-scooter has received a positive response from customers. Further, the two-wheeler manufacturer intends to expand its sales and charging network across multiple cities.

Hero MotoCorp announced that the first phase of its plan has been completed, with deliveries beginning in three cities. The company's next goal is to expand its sales and charging network in India and other global markets. Through its 'Worry-Free EV Ecosystem' of VIDA, the company claims that it will continue to accelerate the transition to EVs. The ecosystem includes experience centres in Jaipur and Bengaluru, as well as pop-up stores in Delhi-NCR. These facilities provide e-scooter test rides for up to three days. The automaker recently launched deliveries of the Vida V1 in Jaipur.
Speaking of the e-scooter, the Hero Vida V1 comes in two variants- Plus and Pro. The Pro version has a longer range, faster acceleration, and more colour options. The Pro model, with its 3.94kWh battery pack, has a greater range than the Plus model, which has a 3.44kWh unit. The Hero Vida V1 Plus, which is priced at Rs 1.28 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Hero Vida V1 Pro, which costs Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom), have a range of 143 kilometres and 165 Kilometres, respectively. The electric scooter has swappable batteries and a charging speed of 1.2km/min. The acceleration time from 0 to 40km/h for the Plus and Pro variants is 3.4 seconds and 3.2 seconds, respectively. Meanwhile, both scooters have an 80km/h top speed and four ride modes: Eco, Ride, and Sport. Moreover, the V1 Pro also has a fully customizable riding mode. Because of its larger battery capacity, it weighs 125kg rather than 124kg like the Hero Vida V1 Plus.

The Vida V1 Plus is available in three colours: Matte White, Matte Sports Red, and Gloss Black. The Pro model, on the other hand, comes in four colour options: Matte White, Matte Sports Red, Gloss Black, and Matte Abrax Orange. In terms of features, custom mode (100+ combinations), cruise control, boost mode, two-way throttle, keyless access, turn-by-turn navigation, geo-fencing, anti-theft alert, and an over-the-air enabled 7-inch TFT touchscreen are also available on the Vida V1. The Hero Vida V1 is built on an intelligent platform that is modular, scalable, and adaptable in real-time.
