Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has announced its expansion plans for the 350cc product line-up. It will launch the new Honda 350cc motorcycle by the end of 2023 (during Diwali) in India. This announcement came during the company's EV line-up event. Honda's new bike will be based on the same platform as the recently launched H'ness CB350 and CB350RS. However, we currently have no clear details regarding what this new motorcycle will turn out to be. It could be a scrambler or a cruiser, or perhaps it could have a cafe-racer styling since Honda provides a wide range of customisation options. It is important to note that the Japanese bikemaker has not yet approved the new project.

New Honda 350cc: Powertrain

The new Honda 350cc motorcycle will share the engine with the H'ness CB350 and the CB350RS. It will use a 350cc single-cylinder engine, which puts out 21bhp of power @ 5,500rpm and 30Nm of peak torque @ 3,000rpm. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox with tall gearing. Also, the company could retune the new model's engine.

New Honda 350cc: Design

Design-wise, the upcoming Honda 350cc could be a cruiser or a scrambler or a crossover. It might have a tall stance, good ground clearance, long travel suspension, and switchable ABS. Also, the new bike could take the shape of a proper cruiser, similar to the Royal Enfield Meteor 350.

New Honda 350cc: Expected Price

Speaking of its pricing, the new Honda 350cc is expected to be priced between Rs 2 lakh and Rs 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom), making it affordable for Indian customers.

Reportedly, it has been a bit challenging for the bikemaker to sell the Honda CB350 to customers since the launch of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, which targets the young generation. The Hunter 350 was launched at a starting price of Rs 1.50 lakh for the Retro variant. All prices are ex-showroom.

Besides, the Hunter 350 achieved the sales milestone of over 1 Lakh units in February this year. Demand for the CB350, however, has gone down over the past couple of months. As of now, the price for the H’ness CB350 ranges between Rs 2.10 lakh and Rs 2.15 lakh (ex-showroom).
