Missed a chance to purchase the Ola S1 or S1 Pro? The manufacturer will soon resume the sale of the two electric scooters.

On September 15, Ola Electric commenced the sale process for those buyers who had pre-booked the S1 and the S1 Pro electric scooters. Within two days, Ola Electric bagged Rs 1,100 crore worth of sales.  Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO, Ola Electric further confirmed that deliveries of the scooters will begin from October 2021. The manufacturer will prioritise customers based on their booking date and time.

For now, the company has paused accepting new bookings for the Ola S1 and the S1 Pro; however, the sale will resume on November 1. Buyers who pre-booked the scooter before its launch on August 15 but missed the opportunity to purchase can do so on, beginning November 1. Currently, Ola Electric’s online portal allows its interested customers to reserve a slot for themselves.

The Ola S1 and S1 Pro cost Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. The state-specific subsidies have further brought down the prices of the new electric scooters. The main rival to the S1 and the S1 Pro are Ather 450 Plus and the Ather 450 X. The Simple Energy One, which was launched on the same day as Ola scooters, is also positioned in the same segment as the aforementioned electric scooters.
