Royal Enfield Classic 650 Launched in India, Prices Start at Rs 3.37 Lakh
The Royal Enfield Classic 650 comes in three variants and features a 648cc parallel-twin engine that delivers 46.3bhp and 52.3Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

Royal Enfield has expanded its 650cc lineup in India with the launch of the Classic 650. Starting at Rs 3.37 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Brown and Blue variants, the Royal Enfield Classic 650 joins the Interceptor, Continental GT, Super Meteor, Shotgun, and Bear in the brand’s 650cc lineup. It is also offered in Teal at Rs 3.41 lakh (ex-showroom) and the premium Black Chrome variant at Rs 3.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The Classic 650 retains the signature styling of the Classic series but comes with modern upgrades. It features full LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, an analogue-digital instrument cluster (similar to the Classic 350), a Tripper navigation pod, and a USB-C charging port.

Blending vintage design with contemporary tech, the Classic 650 Twin aims to offer a refined riding experience. It targets enthusiasts seeking a retro-modern motorcycle with timeless appeal and modern performance.
Royal Enfield Classic 650: Design
The Royal Enfield Classic 650 features a round headlamp with a metallic nacelle, echoing the Classic 350’s front styling. Its teardrop-shaped fuel tank, angular triangular side panels, twin chrome pea-shooter exhausts, and chrome accents give it a distinctive look.
Weighing 243kg, the Classic 650 is the heaviest Royal Enfield yet. It has a 14.8-litre fuel tank, 154mm ground clearance, and an 800mm seat height, offering a balanced ride for both city and highway cruising.
Royal Enfield Classic 650: Engine and Hardware
The Royal Enfield Classic 650 is powered by a 648cc, air/oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine. It delivers 46.3bhp and 52.3Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The Classic 650 shares its frame and brakes with the Shotgun 650 but distinguishes itself with 19/18-inch wire-spoke wheels. In contrast, the Shotgun uses an 18/17-inch alloy wheel setup.

With this launch, Royal Enfield targets buyers seeking a powerful retro-cruiser, positioning the Classic 650 as a direct rival to the BSA Gold Star 650.
