Triumph Speed 400, Scrambler 400 X Prices Hiked in India; Here's How Much They Cost Now
As a result of the first price hike, the prices of the Triumph Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X now stand at Rs 2,34,497 and Rs 2,64,496 (both ex-showroom, India), respectively.

Triumph has hiked the prices of its two small-displacement siblings – the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X – by a uniform Rs 1,500. This is the first price increase of the 400 siblings since their launch in 2023. The prices of the Triumph Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X now stand at Rs 2,34,497 and Rs 2,64,496 (both ex-showroom, India), respectively. While Triumph hasn't revealed the exact reason behind the hike, it could be attributed to rising input costs and inflation.
Triumph launched its Speed 400 in July 2023 at an introductory price of Rs 2.23 lakh (ex-showroom), which increased to Rs 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom) from January 1, 2024. Meanwhile, the Triumph Scrambler 400 X went on sale in the country in October 2023. Costing Rs 2,62,996 (ex-showroom) at that time, the Scrambler 400 X was about Rs 30,000 more expensive than its roadster sibling.
Triumph Speed 400, Scrambler 400 X: Powertrain
Powering both these motorcycles is a 398cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that develops 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 37.5Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The engine, which is named the TR-series, is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, assisted by a slipper and assist clutch. Even the main frame is the same for both. However, the Triumph Scrambler 400 X runs on a 19-inch front wheel and has a taller ride height. At 185kg, the 400 X weighs 9kg more than the Speed 400.

Both bikes feature all-LED lighting, ride-by-wire, dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system), a USB-C charging port, and a digi-analogue screen that displays a fuel gauge meter, a digital tachometer, a gear position indicator, and trip information.
Triumph Tiger 900 Updated in India
In other news, Triumph recently updated the Tiger 900 lineup in India. With this, the 2024 Tiger 900 now comes in two variants – GT and Rally Pro, priced at Rs 13.95 lakh and Rs 15.95 lakh, respectively. Both prices are ex-showroom. For the model year 2024, the Triumph Tiger 900 brings more power and torque, along with an updated feature list.
