2024 Triumph Tiger 900 Launched in India at Rs 13.95 lakh, Gets More Power, Bluetooth-enabled TFT and More

The 2024 Triumph Tiger 900 comes in two variants – GT and Rally Pro, priced at Rs 13.95 lakh and Rs 15.95 lakh, respectively. Both prices are ex-showroom, India.

Triumph Motorcycles has launched the 2024 Tiger 900 in the Indian market. Available in two variants – GT and Rally Pro, the new Tiger 900 carries a price tag of Rs 13.95 lakh for the GT version. Meanwhile, the Rally Pro variant sets you back by Rs 15.95 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom. For the model year 2024, the Triumph Tiger 900 brings more power and torque, along with an updated feature list. 

Powering the 2024 Triumph Tiger 900 is an updated 888cc, inline, 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that belts out 106.5bhp at 9,500rpm and 90Nm of peak torque at 6,850rpm, an increase of 13bhp and 3Nm over the outgoing model. Transmission duties on both variants are carried out by a 6-speed unit, supported by a slip-and-assist clutch. The Rally Pro additionally gets Triumph Shift Assist (up and down quickshifter).

Another talking point is the Tiger 900's new 7.0-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation available as standard. In addition, the bike offers full LED lighting, traction control, emergency braking warning lights, and cornering ABS (anti-lock braking system). The Triumph Tiger 900 GT comes with four riding modes – Road, Rain, Sport and Off-Road, whereas the Rally Pro gets six modes – Road, Rain, Sport, Rider Configurable, Off-Road, and Off-Road Pro. The latter also gets a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a centre stand, heated seats, and engine protection guards.

Besides, the updated motorcycle offers a revised seat height of 820-840mm to the GT riders and 860-880mm to the Rally Pro riders. 

2024 Triumph Tiger 900: Hardware

The Triumph Tiger 900, in the road-focused GT variant, uses a Marzocchi 45mm upside-down front fork with adjustability for rebound and compression damping. On the other side, the off-road-biased Rally Pro sits on a Showa 45mm upside-down front fork with preload, rebound, and compression damping adjustment. At the rear, both the GT and the Rally Pro feature a preload- and rebound-adjustable monoshock.

Stopping power comes from dual 320mm disc brakes with Brembo Stylema four-piston Monoblock callipers at the front and a single 255mm disc with a single-piston sliding calliper at the rear. Cornering ABS and traction control are standard on both ends. The Tiger 900 GT rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels shod with Metzeler TouranceTM Next rubber tyres, whereas the Rally Pro can be had with 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Battlax Adventure tubeless tyres. 

2024 Triumph Tiger 900: Colour Options

The Tiger 900 GT is available in Graphite, Snowdonia White, and Carnival Red colours, whereas the Rally Pro comes in Carbon Black, Ash Grey, and Matte Khaki Green colour options. 

2024 Triumph Tiger 900: Rivals

In the segment, the 2024 Tiger 900 competes against the likes of the BMW F 850 GS, the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE, the Ducati Multistrada V2, and the Honda Africa Twin.
