Japanese automaker Nissan has globally revealed the new-gen Leaf, which has received quite a makeover, with a crossover inspired styling. The car has sharp LED headlamps paired with a seamless body-coloured panel, 3D taillights inspired by the Nissan Z, rear door handles mounted on the pillars, sleek, flush front handles, and 18-inch and 19-inch wheel options. It boasts improved aerodynamics, with a drag coefficient of 0.25 in Europe. The Leaf, introduced in 2010, was among the first modern electric vehicles to hit the market. Nissan says that it has sold close to 7 lakh units worldwide since then, which is quite impressive for any car, and especially notable for an EV from that early era.
Arnaud Charpentier, Region Vice President, Marketing & Mobility, Nissan AMIEO, said, ‘With the all-new LEAF, we are delivering an electric vehicle that blends elegance, confidence, and breakthrough range - wrapped in a design that's as smart as it is emotional.
He also added, ‘It brings the best of Nissan innovation to the mainstream, and we're incredibly excited to introduce it to European roads.’
Let’s take a closer look at the new generation of the Leaf in detail.

One standout feature is its cleverly designed trunk, with 437 litres of cargo space, with easy access thanks to an available power liftgate. Nissan states that some trims also come with roof rails, perfect for adding crossbars and extra storage options.
